Genealogy

Deep in the hills of Wyoming
Lies a Little country town
Nowhere to go and nothing to do
Just friendly folk all around

A young lad felt he had reached his prime
And went looking for a wife
He asked his father for permission to marry
And get on with his life

He led his choice to his father's house
But his father said "NO!NO!NO!"
This pretty girl is your sister
But, Shhh--your mother doesn't know

This lad picked another, and then another
But His father still said "NO!"
These girls are all your sisters
But. Shhh--your mother doesn't know

With no one left to be his wife
He wished he could find another
Sad in heart, and lost in grief
He confided in his mother

As she heard his tale, she began to smile
Then laughed until she cried
She held her sides to get her breath
The son was mystified!

She held his hand, said "Go find your love"
Marry her and don't be slow
Cause your father ain't your father
But shhh--your father doesn't know!!!
