Notes:
*
John Thomas of New Haven moved to Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Some sources state that John Thomas settled there in 1690, while others state that he was in Woodbury prior to his marriage to Mary Blakeslee.*

*In "Genealogies of Connecticut Families" John and Mary Thomas are listed as deeding land in New Haven on December 5, 1694 to John's brother-in-law, John Edward Blakeslee. This is Mary's brother and a great-great etc. grandfather of Louisa May Alcott.*

*This John Thomas may be the nephew of John and Tabitha Thomas of New Haven, New Haven, CT.*
