Where was the birthplace of John Thomas'?
What was his birthdate?:
I have yet to find confirmed reliable information on the birth of
John Thomas. Here are some of the possibilities I've seen . . .
** John Thomas may have been
born on Mar 04, 1645 in New Haven, New Haven Co., CT. I have no idea why,
but this date appears on many family trees. As far as I can tell, it has
NOT been confirmed. It seems to have originated from the LDS-IGI. . .
** John might have been born in
another state, perhaps MA, and then later moved to Connecticut, where he
met and married Mary. He may have been related to the Thomas family there.
He is not, however, the son of the John Thomas who married a
woman named Tabitha. This John Thomas had a son named John Thomas who
married Lydia Parker. "Our" John who married Mary Blakeslee may be a
nephew of John and Tabitha.
** John may have been born in
England or Wales.
