TUCSON, Ariz. - Terri Lee Kesterson, 26, of Tucson and a former resident of the Wenatchee Valley, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 1994, in Tucson after an extended illness. She was born March 18, 1968, to Ruby and Ennis Kesterson at Stayton, Ore. She grew up in the Wenatchee Valley, attending schools in Wenatchee and Cashmere. She moved to Tucson in November 1993 to attend college. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Goss of Wenatchee; four brothers, Steve Kesterson of Murfreesboro, Ark., L.J. Price of Ephrata, Don Price of East Wenatchee, and Troy Price of Wenatchee; and three sisters, Alta McConnell of Las Cruces, N.M., Theresa Channey of Pensacola, Fla., and Carolyn ]Porrazzo of ]Inyokern, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father in 1968. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.

WENATCHEE - Lula M. Townsend, 89, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee Valley, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 1995, at her home following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1905, to William E. and Nancy (Blackwood) Kesterson at Dierks, Ark., where she was raised and attended school. She married Lewis Monroe Townsend on Dec. 10, 1922, in Howard County, Ark. They made their first home at Dierks, Ark., where they farmed. They moved to Whitesboro, Texas, in the mid-1930s, where they continued farming. They moved to Moses Lake in the mid-1940s, where they operated a mobile home park. Mr. and Mrs. Townsend moved to East Wenatchee in the late 1950s and owned and operated an orchard until 1975, when they sold the orchard and retired. Following the death of her husband in 1981, Mrs. Townsend moved to Wenatchee. She was a volunteer with the Salvation Army. Survivors include a son, L.D. of East Wenatchee; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Clara) Carlson of Wenatchee, and Josephine "Jo" Pate and Juanita Richardson, both of East Wenatchee; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a grandson. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
