Eldest son of Willie C Kesterson and Ethel(Grimm) Kesterson. Married Bertha B. Hopman in 1938. Was inducted into the Army in 1944 and served in the 143rd Quartermasters Battalion during WWII. Attained rank of Sgt.
Was an active member of the "American Legion", his local Methodist church, loved his family, camping, stamp collecting, lapidary, and photography. A strong, quiet man.

Obituary Of Bertha Kesterson
Bertha B. (Hopman) Kesterson, 85, of Millville died Tuesday morning, Sep t. 10, 2002, at the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home, Vineland, aft er an extended illness. Born in Millville, she was a lifelong resident. She was a Homemaker. She w as a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Millville. S he enjoyed camping, sewing and needlework. Mrs. Kesterson is survived by one son, James; two daughters, Marsha Walk er and Susan Kesterson; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceas ed by her husband James in 1996, and one daughter Barbara Bruno in 1999. Services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday in the Christy Funeral Hom e, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home. Bu rial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Millville. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Asso ciation, Greater New Jersey Chapter, Suite 251, Dennisville, NJ 07834.
