YOPP, Earl, 83, of Copper Hill, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2003, at his home with his loving family present. He was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by a loving wife of 51 years, Ida Mae Yopp; a daughter, Dorthea Cornelia Sloane; three grandsons, Billy Nelson Hale, Jr., James (Jimmy) Walter Yopp, Bobby Wayne Yopp, Jr.; six brothers and sisters. Survivng are four daughters and sons-in-law, Marybelle and Willie Hale, Alice and Shirley Ferris, Florence and Petey Hale, Louise and Darrell Guilliams; seven sons and daughters-in law, James and Marie Yopp, Ralph and Joyce Yopp, Junior and Charlotte Yopp, Wayne and Karen Yopp, Daniel and Diane Yopp, David and Donna Yopp, Gene and Brenda Yopp; 36 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2003 at Wood Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Yopp and Rev. Paul Eldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Yopp Family Cemetery at Callaway. The family appreciates Heartland Health Care, Gentle Shepherd Hospice, Cammie, Stephanie and Regina for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd.
