Andrew A. Barganier
Andrew A. Barganier was born January 8, 1832 at Fort Deposit, Alabama.  He entered the Civil War as a private in 1863, at Fort Deposit, in Calvin's Company, and continued until the close of the war.  He married Margaret Elizabeth Adams.

Berry C. Barganier
Berry C. Barganier was in Knoxville, Tennessee in the Civil War and became sick.  His wife went to take care of him and also became sick. They both died the same day, November 15, 1852.  Hillary Herbert was in the war at the same time and returned their bodies to Fort Deposit where they were both buried.  Hillary then returned to the war.

Claburn Payne Barganier
Claburn Payne Barganier was born January 10, 1839, in Fort Deposit, Alabama.  He entered the Civil War as a private in September, 1862, at Fort Deposit, Alabama, in Company D. First Battalion, Hilliard's Legion.  He continued here until the close of the Har.  He married Paralee Evans, November 18, 1858.

Gilbert Monroe Barganier
Gilbert Monroe Barganier was born January 8, 1845, at Fort Deposit, Alabama.  He entered the Civil War in April, 1862, as a private at Fort Deposit, Alabama, in Company A, First Alabama.  He continued until the close of the war.  He married Agnes Gardner.  Gilbert Monroe Barganier lived to be eighty-six.

Hillary Herbert Barganier
Hillary Herbert Barganier was born July 20, 1834 in Fort Deposit, Alabama.  He entered as a private in the Civil War in May 1862, at Fort Deposit, Alabama, in Company D, Hilliard's Legion, and continued until the close of the war.  He was wounded September 20, 1863, in the Battle of Chickamauga.  He was eighty years and ten months old when he died June 14, 1915.  He married Mary Ellen Kirkpatrick, daughter of James Sidney Kirkpatrick.

Jesse F. Barganier
Jesse F. Barganier was born on Oct 7, 1830, at Fort Deposit, Alabama.  He entered the Civil War as a private in February, 1862, in the Sixth Alabama Cavalry in Clanton, Alabama.  He continuted until the close of the war.  He was married to Somatha Norman.

John F. Barganier
John F. Barganier served in the Civil War in Co. "D", 61st Alabama Infantry Regiment; (Butler; retired, 26 Aug 64); William J. Porter (captured, Spotsylvania, and died as POW)

John S. Barganier
John S. Barganier was born Sept 6, 1826, and died in Fort Deposit, Alabama.  He entered the Civil War as a private in February, 1862, at Troy, Alabama in Company B., Sixth Alabama Cavalry, and continued until the close of the war.  He married Betty Price.

Lawson Brown Barganier, Sr.
Lawson Brown Barganier, Sr. was born August 21, 1828, and died February 26, 1907, at the age of seventy-nine.  He entered the Civil War in August 1862, at Fort Deposit, Alabama, Company D, Hilliard's Legion, and stayed until the close of the war.  He was in battle at Chickamauga when a bullet creased his forehead.  He made $11.00 a month until 1864, when they gave the soldiers $18.00 a month.  He never saw his family all the time he was in service.  He married Sephronia Cheatham.

William J. Barganier
William J. Barganier was born Sept 12, 1825, and married Sarah Jane Cheatham.  He went to the Civil War with his eight brothers but he died in a northern prison camp.
