Story of Alexander McRostie

When Alexander's father died he thought he was going to inherit the farm that he had been running for many years at Tantanoola but the farm was split so that it was not big enough to make a living. They left the South East and moved to Two Wells. They had a market garden near Adelaide. Alexander was good at growing vegetables but didn’t like going to market to sell his produce.

They then had a boarding house in Mannum, where some of the Schofield boys boarded. They also had a farm across the river from Mannum. Archie Schofield met Esther McRostie while he was boarding with them.

They then moved to Cudlee Cheek. Death date either 1950 or 1954.
