          This is the last Will of me Henry James Bath of Swansea in the county of Glamorgan, merchant. I give to my brother Charles Bath and to my nephew Edward Henry Bath the goodwill of the business carried on by me in London, Liverpool and Swansea subject to the payment to my wife Margaret Spears Bath ( if she be then living ) of an annuity of one thousand five hundred pounds a year such annuity to be (considered?) as (accruing?) from day to day but to be paid by equal half yearly payments the first whereof shall be made at the expiration of six calendar months from my death. I give devise appoint and bequeath all the manors mortgages tenements and (??ments) and real estate of every tenure together with all the money securities money goods chattels (???) and personal estate of or to which I shall at my death be seized possessed or entitled or over which I shall at my death have a general power of appointment or (???) by (??ill) except what I otherwise dispose of by this my will or by any codicil hereto unto and to the use of my said wife her heirs assigns or administrators and (???) absolutely for her and their own use and benefit But I request though without (??f?ing )it or obligatory upon her to be so that she will devise my estates in Carmarthenshire and Glamorganshire to my nephew the said Edward Henry bath and his heirs in (fet?) or in the case of his death in her lifetime (obscured) (???) them to the closest surviving son of my brother Edward and his heirs in (fet?) (???) always and I so hereby (???) that in the eventuality of the decease of my said wife before me or of her surviving me and dying without having disposed of the said estates I give and (behest??) them same to my said nephew and his heirs or in the event of his dying without leaving any surviving heirs then I give and (behest??) the same to the (three words obscured) of my said brother Edward and his (heirs) in (fet?).

I appoint my said wife and the said Charles Bath and Edward Henry Bath Executrix and Executors of this my will By (???) whereof I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy five. Henry J. Bath

Signed and sealed by the said Henry James Bath as and for his last will in the presence of us both present at the same time who in his presence and at his request each in the presence of each other have hereunto (transcribed?) our names as witnesses- Murray A. Johnson

Proved at London 24th December 1875 by the oaths of Margaret Spears Bath widow the (???) Charles Bath the brother and Edward Henry Bath the nephew the Executors to whom (???) was granted.
