Jean Bodine was born abt 1619; he died in 1694 in Staten Island, New York. His son, also named Jean, married Esther Bridon.

Jean and Esther Bodine were the parents of Francis Bodine, sr., who married Maria Dey, and they in turn were the parents of Francis Bodine, jr. Francis, jr married Rachel Wilson and had:

• Joel Bodine, b. 1742, d. 18 May 1826. He married Mary Corlies
• Francis Bodine, b. 1744, d. 27 Sep 1822. He married Mary Rose
• John Bodine, b. 1746, d. 26 Mar 1826. His first wife was Mary Roundtree, and his second was Ann Taylor (1765-1831). She was born in North Carolina. They were the parents of:
  • Joel Bodine, b. 14 Dec 1794 in Wading River, and died 22 May 1879 in Camden, NJ. His first wife was named Sarah Gale, his second Phoebe Forman, and his third was Leah Mathis. From his second marriage, to Phoebe Forman, he had the following children:
    1. Isaac Bodine
    2. Charles S. Bodine
    3. Charles F. Bodine (died young)
    4. Henry Bodine (died young)
    5. John Forman Bodine. He was born 1821 in Tuckerton, and died there in October 1883. He was married twice, first to Martha Swope and then to Gertrude Boucher.
    6. William H. Bodine, b. 9 Jan 1824. He married twice, first to Eliza E. Corkery and then to Virginia Slocum
    7. Joel Alfred Bodine, b. 1831 in Port Elizabeth, NJ and died 23 Jan 1899 in Camden. He married Phoebe J. French, who was born 6 Jul 1835 in Bass River and died there on 22 Dec 1907.
