One researcher and visitor to this site has provided this piece of Cobb information that we hope to be able to link to the other Cobbs eventually:
Paul J. Roser was born in 1869 in Crowleytown, NJ, as was his older brother, Andrew J. in 1866. Their parents were Joseph M. Roser (b: ca 1844 in Baden Germany) and Mary Catherine Cobb (b. ca 1847 in New Jersey). They were married in NJ ca 1865. Joseph was a glassblower by trade and it is believed that he was working at the glass factory in Crowleytown in the late 1860s. It is not known when Joseph immigrated, but he obviously was here by 1865. Mary Catherine (Kate) was born in New Jersey as were both her parents. I am particularly interested in your reference to Mary C. Cobb and wondered if you had any information on the Cobb family of that region, especially in reference to a marriage and children. Joe and Kate removed to Philadelphia by 1870, shortly after my grandfather's birth, where they are found on the 1870 Census.

Thomas Cobb (1762-1841), of whom I know nothing at all, was the father of Constant Cobb. Constant was born in 1789, and died sometime prior to 1832. Constant married a Deborah Ford, daughter of Stephen and Hannah. (Deborah was born in 1789, and died 2 Jan 1850). They were the parents of:

1. Nancy Cobb, who married Daniel Ford. They were the parents of :
   • Samuel Quaily Ford, b. 1841, d. 30 Nov 1892. He married Hannah Ford (1848-1895), daughter of Reuben and Tabitha, in 1871. They had:
     • Cornelia Ford, who married Alonzo Nichols and died in 1906.
     • Ephraim Ford(1872-1906)
     • Jesse Ford (abt 1848-abt 1876)
     • Carrie Emma Ford, who married Howard Prince.
     • Cora Belle Ford, b. 1882 in Greenbank, who married Frank Nichols. She died in 1954 in Woodbury, Gloucester Co., NJ.
     • Matilda Ford, b. 1883, who married Nicholas Ford, son of Maurice and Esther Ford.
     • Elizabeth Ford, b. 1 Dec 1886
2. Elizabeth Cobb, b. 31 Dec 1816. She married James Patten (1812-1891) in 1854, and died 11 Aug 1891. They were the parents of:
   • Jessey W. Patten, b. abt 1854
   • William H. Patten, b. Dec 1856, d. 8 Dec 1938. He married Georgianna Nichols (1866-1946) and had:
     • William Patten
     • James Patten
     • Horace Patten
     • Melissa Patten
     • Thomas Patten
     • Bessie May Patten

     • Carrie Lillian Patten, b. 1 Sep 1907. She married Joseph Mick.
   • Constant Cobb, b. 12 Sep 1814. He married Susanna Crowley (1809-1875) on 25 Jul 1830. They were the parents of:
     • Abigail Cobb, b. abt 1834 and married to Cy Morton??
     • Carolyn Cobb, b. abt 1836 and married to Max Roeser
     • Henry Cobb (1840-1875); he married Adeline Gaunt (1841-1922), daughter of Reuben Gaunt and Jane Weatherby, and had:
       • Emma J. Cobb,b. July 1860
       • Lillian Cobb, who married George Dunkel
       • Reuben Cobb, born 11 May 1865. He married Harriet Jane Burdett (1874-1957). He died 4 Feb 1938.
     • Margaret Cobb, b. abt 1842
     • Abby Ann Cobb, b. abt 1844
     • Mary C. Cobb, b. abt 1846 [This fits the description of the woman who married Paul J. Roser, above, but we can't be sure this is really her].
     • Constant Cobb, b. 13 Dec 1851, d. 19 Feb 1925. In 1874, he married Sarah Amanda Cranmer (1854-1938). They were the parents of:
       • Abigail Cobb, married John W. Shute and had Mayme Shute.
       • Jarvis H. Cobb
       • Irene R. Cobb, b 28 Jun 1882, d. 5 Nov 1963. She married Scott Doerr
       • James R. Cobb, b. 1886 in Greenbank. He died 2 Jul 1861 in Elwood, Atlantic Co., NJ. In 1906, he married Pearl Johnson. They were the parents of Jarvis R. Cobb, b. 2 Dec 1907.
       • Mary Cobb, b. 7 May 1888. She married Max Schoenberg about 1900.
       • Constant Cobb, b. 1889. He died 21 Dec 1903.
       • Josiah Cobb, b. 1892, 21 Oct 1903 (two months to the day prior to brother Constant's death!)
       • Anna Cobb, b. 1898 in Nesco, Mullica Twp, Atlantic Co. She died 5 Oct 1973 in Hammonton, NJ. She was married to Leo G. Nace about 1918.
       • Anna Cobb, b. abt 1903. She died 22 Oct 1903, the day after her brother Josiah and two months before her brother, Constant.
     • Tabitha Cobb, b. 6 May 1831 and died 2 Dec 1901 in Greenbank. She married Reuben Ford, son of Jeremiah Ford and Sarah Jane Cranmer. They were the parents of:
       • Hanna Ford, who married Samuel Quaily Ford (see above)
       • Josiah Ford, b. 1847, who married both Elizabeth Mick and Virginia Brewer.
       • Sarah Ford, b. 1851, who married Asa Ford
     • Elizabeth Cobb (1832-1889). She married Thomas Reed about 1851.
     • James R. Cobb, b. abt 1838. He died 11 Mar 1889, and was married to Mary Elizabeth Pharo.
