The following bit of information I came across in an issue of the New Jersey Courier; as of this posting I have not been able to find the original record with the date of the paper, although I do believe it was in the 1920s. I posted it here on the chance that there might be someone out there who can either use this information or add to it; if you are that person please email me.

John Herbert married a woman named Elizabeth, last name unknown, who lived in Herbertsville, Ocean County, New Jersey. They had a number of children, including the following:

• Catherine who married a Mr. Gilford
• an unnamed daughter, who died young
• Three boys, all dead as of the printing of the article
• Hannah, born 1839. She married David Brewer of Herbertsville and had:
  • Morton Brewer
  • Herbert Brewer
  • W.V. Brewer
  • Charles Brewer
  • James Brewer
• Elizabeth Herbert, Hannah's twin sister (born 1839). She married, in 1860, William Morton, and had:
  • Craig Morton
  • Thomas Morton
  • Edward Morton
  • John Morton
  • Ella Morton
