Pierce Family
Pierce
There are several different fragments of Pierce families from South Jersey on this page; if you can help me put any of them together, please send me an e-mail.

First, if you followed a link here from one of the Budd Family pages, you're probably interested in Mildred Parker Pierce and her descendants:
John A. Backus (1881-1977) married Mildred Parker Pierce and had:
..................Mildred Budd Backus (b. 31 May 1918), who married Earl H. Herron, jr. and had:
...........................Margaret Kathleen Herron, born November 1945
...........................David Earl Herron, born December 1949, who married Nancy Corrieri and had:
.......................................Joshua Michael Herron (born January 1975)
.......................................Jason Earl Herron (born June 1977)

Another Pierce family of interest is that of John Pierce( b. 189? and died in either 1936 or 37.) He may have had the following siblings:
Margaret
James
George
Josephine...she is supposed to have had red hair
Myrtle, nicknamed "Bonnie", who married a Kripts
Laura
Margaret, who went by "Meg" and also married a Kripts.
This family lived in the Camden area when they arrived here from Ireland, probably with a related family, the Percivals.

John was the second husband of Mary Emma Camp (1903-1985). Mary Emma had originally been married to William Blood, and had borne a daughter with him, Dorothy Blood, about 1917. From her marriage to John Pierce were at least two children. After John's death, she became the common law wife of a man named John Vernelli.
