Quinliven Family
Quinliven

Charles Quinliven married Evelyn 'Valeada' Budd, daughter of Joseph Budd and Evelyn Lawrence.

They were married sometime after January of 1920, when the census was taken, as Evelyn was still living in her parents home at that time. It's not certain when Charles was born, but Evelyn was born 15 Sep 1899. I know nothing of Charles' parents; I have so far not been able to find him on any census. There is a 9 year old boy on the 1910 census, just the right age for our Charles, living in the St. Paul's Orphan Asylum in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, but I have no way of knowing if this is our Charles or not.

Evelyn and Charles were the father of Charles Quinliven. According to her son, Charles:
Valeada wrote her name as Evelyn Valeada Quinlivan in the bible her Aunt Jennie gave her, indicating she was born Sept. 15, 1899 at 204 18th Street Brooklyn NY, however her birth certificate indicates that her legal name was Evalina L. Budd. (Aunt Valeada is my Grandpa Budd's sister and wife of Charles Quinlivan. *the 1898 and 1899 Birth Index for Brooklyn do not list her!
She gave her name as "Valeada" on the 1920 census, when she was living with her parents in Brooklyn. Eva eventually became severely disabled (paralyzed) from Parkinson's and her brother, Larry Budd cared for her.

Charles, Jr. married a woman named Herta, of whom I know nothing. (George Budd told me she was German, but I can't confirm that).

Charles and Herta Quinliven were the parents of Nancy Evelyn Quinliven.

That's all I have right now, I hope to add more information as I come across it.
