This town was located about one mile north of Medford. It was at one time the seat of government of the township, but by the early 1880s it had but a few houses and a blacksmith shop. The "black doctor", Dr. James Still, lived here according to E.M. Woodward's 1883 history. There was also a blacksmith shop at the time.
