This town is in Lumberton Township, Burlington County. The land on which it sits was owned by Richard Eayres until 1713 or 14, from whence it gets it's name. In 1714, Peter Bard was the owner, followed by John Borrowdale the following year.

In 1712, a sawmill was erected here. Richard Eayre's grandson, Asa, sold the property the mill stood on in Nov of that year to Joseph Walker.

By the 1880s, the town had grown little...ther was a store, the mill, and about a dozen dwellings. I do not at this time have any other information regarding this place, but if you know something else about this place, please send me an e-mail at [email protected]
