One researcher has sent me this information:
I am looking into the possibility that Weekstown was founded by brothers Uriah (born Oct 17, 1753) and Ezekiel (born Jan 15? 1750) Weeks of Cornwall Connecticut. They were the brothers of an ancestor of mine, Zadoc Weeks of Connecticut, and the sons of Zephaniah Wix and Lydia Dibble Wix of Cornwall. Zephaniah Wix was a Native American and possibly a Pequot Indian of Connecticut, fought in the French and Indian War and in the Revolutionary War. Lydia Dibble was of English descent. Uriah Weeks/Wix was a Sergeant in the Continental Army during the Revolution and both he and his father were held prisoner by the British in New York. After the Revolution, Uriah and his brother supposedly left Connecticut and came to New Jersey where they founded Weekstown. I am trying to confirm that these two brothers were the ones who founded Weekstown.
