The New York Times, June 26, 1927 Couzens Rebuilds School Senator Will Replace Building Dynamited by Maniac at Bath, Mich. BATH, Mich., June 24 (AP). - The Bath Consolidated School District Board has accepted an offer from Senator James Couzens to rebuild the schoolhouse destroyed May 18 last by blasts of dynamite planted by Andrew Kehoe, demented Clinton County farmer. Forty-four persons, mostly small children attending classes, were killed in the dynamiting of the school.
