List of Recommended Genealogical
Publications on Irish Ancestry

This list, which I put into alphabetical order by title, was taken from a 1989 brochure, Tracing Your Ancestors—Ireland, published by the Irish Tourist Board (Bord Fàilte), 757 Third Ave., New York, New York 10017; phone: (212) 418-0800. Please do not contact me for lookups in these books, since I do not own any of them. Please see the sources following the list if you are interested in any of them, or try checking with your local library to find out if you can borrow them through interlibrary loan. An excellent source of library catalogs on the internet is LIBDEX. Addresses for research in Ireland can be found at the Irish Family History Foundation.
