• 1850 Census for Stafford, Greene County, Indiana, shows Ethe L. Page as head of household consisting of: Hiram Page, 12; William W. Page, 9; John Page, 7; Aaron Page, 2; and Elisha Brewer (probably Ethe's younger brother), 24. A Purcell family lives next door, and several others are on the previous census page. Aaron Brewer, her father, is listed two pages earlier.

• 1880 Census for Stafford, Greene County, Indiana, shows Etha Purcell, 63, living in the household of her son, Aaron Page, 32, a farmer, and his family: wife Emma, 24; daughter Etha May, 9/12 (born Aug 1879); and Charles Bichnell, 8, a cousin. Interestingly, Etha Purcell lists her parents as having been born in "E.Va" (and lists herself as born in Tennessee).
