World War I Draft Registration card, dated 5 June 1917, shows Evert Bedwell,
born 11 Aug 1889 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, a resident of 2219 Tenth Ave S.,
Nashville, Tennessee. He is employed as a street railway conductor. He is described
as married with a wife and one child under 12, tall and slender, with dark brown
hair and eyes. He has a nice signature.
1930 Census for Lincoln County, Tennessee, taken April 8, 1930, shows
Evert Bedwell, 40, a farmer who owns his own property, as head of household living
with wife Maggie, 42; and children Louis, 1 & 11/12; Lester, (age illegible
due to smear); Dalas, 15; and Edwin, 10. Evert's age may not make sense because
the same census listing shows he was married at age 21, she at 17 (she may have
been married before? if so, are the older children stepchildren of Evert?).

Annie Jane Gowan, daughter of James Marion Gowan and Mary Matilda Thompson Buntley
Gowan, was born December 12, 1896, probably in Lincoln County. She was married
to William C. Robyn in 1921.
Apparently Annie Jane Gowan was married earlier to Everett Bedwell because they
were the parents of Mabel Bedwell, who was born September 11, 1912.
