William J. "Bill" Bedwell, 72, of Emmett Township died Wednesday,
April 28, 1999, at home. He was born July 24, 1926, in Dayton, Tenn. to Charles
and Lily (Jerkins) Bedwell. He attended Dayton Public Schools. He served in
the U.S. Navy during World War II and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict,
whe he was injured in a military tank accident. He moved to Emmett Township from
Dayton. He owned and operated Bill's Lawn and Snow Plowing Service for 28 years.
He married Nancy L. Stephens on Sept. 10, 1967. She survives. Also surviving
are a daughter, Karen Badders of Herber Springs, Ark.; stepdaughters Christina
Kalbaugh of Tehachapi, Calif., and Pam S. Adams of Battle Creek; stepsons Burt
H. and Leo F. Garzelli of Delano, Calif.; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren;
seven greatstepgrandchildren; and a brother, Floyd Bedwell, of Battle Creek.
Jennings (Bill) Bedwell and Florence Grace Paddock were married.
