He died in 1891 in White County, Arkansas. He was also known as Reubin House. He was a farmer.

• 1860 Census for Red River Township, White County, Arkansas, taken in June 1860, shows Ruben House, 51, a farmer who owns $4000 in real estate and $500 in assets, as head of household including: E., 51; James, 26; Alb., 22, male; S.M., 21, female; M., 19, female; Jefferson, 18; and Dallas, 16.

Elizabeth Stevens⁵¹¹ was born on 30 May 1805 in Tennessee. She was born about 1808 in Tennessee. She appeared in the census in 1850 in Hardeman Co TN No Township page 106a DW# 545 age 42. She appeared in the census in 1860 in White Co AR Red River Township Page 72 DW# 488 age 51. She died on 22 Sep 1872 in White County, Arkansas. She was buried in West Point Cemetery, West Point, White County, Arkansas. Reuben House and Elizabeth Stevens had the following children:
