age 86, born in N.C. with parents born in Ireland, as head of household with:
son James B. Bedwell, age 54, a farmer who is unable to write (he is shown as
married, but there is no wife present in the household); son John, age 40, a
single farmer; grandson Denver J. Beck, age 17; and granddaughter Mary J., age
15. James Burto Bedwell and Ellender Padgett were married on 5 Jan 1863 in
Greene County, Indiana.407
