• 1870 Census for Linn Township, Dent County, Missouri, taken in June 1870,
shows George Bedwell, 35, a farmer who owns $200 in assets, who is shown as unable
to read or write, as head of household consisting of: Mary, 40; Sarah J., 16;
Absolom, 13; Thomas W., 11; David E., 6; Perry R., 4; and Mary E., 8/12. All
were born in Indiana.

Bedwell, 52, a farmer, as head of household including: wife Mary A., 54; son
Abroham, 22; son Thomas, 21; son David F., 17; son Prarie R., 14; and daughter
