Mr. Wesley E. Bedwell, age 85, of Grand Rapids, passed away April 29, 2006. He
was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl; by his parents, Earl and Louise
Bedwell; and by his brother, Rodney D. Bedwell, 330. Wes was past president of
GMR (1973) and a member of Grand Rapids Masonic York Lodge #410, Director of
Emeritus, High Twelve and Jesters. He retired from the R.T. French (Rickitt Benckiser
Inc.) in 1982. Wes is survived by his wife, Yoshiko; children, Sharon Morrison
of Jenison, Shirley Forrester of Kentwood, Debbie and Ron AuFrance of Grand Rapids,
Monica and Danny Knoll of Newaygo, Richard "Chop" Newsome of Grand
Rapids, Larry Dennis and fianceé, Annett of White Cloud; special sister-in-law,
Annie Bedwell; special niece, Margaret Bedwell of Dearborn; special nephew, David
(Pauline) Bedwell 330 of Superior Township; brother, Donald (Evelyn) Bedwell
of Mio; grandchildren, Randy, Jeremy, Debbie, Wesley and Tonya; and many friends.
A service to celebrate Wesley's life will be held on Wednesday, May 3 at 1 p.m.
at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake
Michigan Drive where relatives and friends are invited to meet with his family
on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
with a Masonic Service to be held at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider
donations to either 320 Masonic Children's Learning Center in Grand Rapids or
to Hospice of Michigan, Big Rapids Chapter.
