There is a question about Felix Parks Bedwell's parentage. One IGI Record (Film#2034446)
shows a Felix Bedwell born in 1845 in Grayson, VA to John Bedwell and Martha
Poole. Another IGI Record (Batch# 8225708, Sheet#51) shows a Felix Parks Bedwell
born 27 Dec 1842 in Grayson, VA with no father listed and mother shown as Taletha
Bedwell. These are probably the same man, the Felix P. Bedwell who enlisted
in CSA Army in 1863 above. Taletha Bedwell was the eldest child of John Bedwell
and Martha Pool(e), born in 1826. Nothing is yet known about her life. Was she
the out-of-wedlock mother of Felix Parks Bedwell, who was then claimed or adopted
by grandparents John Bedwell and Martha Pool? Further research is necessary
here.
