LAUREL - Services were held today at Saulters-Moore Chapel in Prentiss for Barney Bedwell, 85, of Laurel, formerly of Carson, who died May 30, 2004, at Comfort Care Nursing Center. Burial was in Carson Cemetery. Mr. Bedwell was a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a Mason. Survivors include five daughters, Patricia McNeese of Pascagoula, Frances Marion Bedwell of Lumberton, Janice Davis of Poplarville, Donna Applewhite of Laurel and Melinda Hathorn of Bassfield; a son, Dennis Bedwell of Prentiss; a brother, Calvin Bedwell of Stewart, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
