• World War I draft registration card shows Elbert Priest Bedwell, born 2 Mar 1881, a resident of Tregevant, Carroll County, Tennessee. He is a self-employed farmer whose nearest relative is Alice P. Bedwell. He is of medium height and build with blue eyes and dark brown hair.

• 1920 Census for Shelby County, Tennessee shows Elbert P. Bedwell, 38, a carpenter, and wife Allice, 39, living on Coleman Ave.: sons Elbert H. Bedwell, 18, a carpenter; Zelner H. Bedwell, 14; Adele M., 12; and Irene M. Bedwell, 6. Elbert P. Bedwell is listed as a homeowner.

There is also a Clark Bedwell, age 46, in Dyer County in the 1930 Census, so this Hershell and Jula might be his children, not Elbert Priest Bedwell's.
