• Shown as Carroll Bedwell, age 2, living with mother Catherine Bedwell and siblings in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860. Father Carr Bedwell is apparently deceased.

• 1880 Census for District 56, Henderson County, Tennessee, taken in June 1880, shows Isaac Bedwell, age 22, a farmer who cannot read or write, as head of household: wife Allice, age 20; and son Thomas, age 2.

• 1900 Census for District 10, Henderson County, Tennessee, shows Isac C. Bedwell, born Dec 1858, a farmer who rents his land, as head of household containing: Alice C., born Aug 1861, his wife of 23 years, who has had seven children with seven still living; son Thos. P., a day laborer born Aug 1878; son Jm. H., a day laborer born Jan 1881; daughter Mahaly C., born Apr 1884; son Groves C., a day laborer born Aug 1889; son Oscar, born Dec 1892; daughter Flora S., born June 1895; and son Ernest H., born Feb 1898. All members of the family are listed as unable to read or write.

• 1910 Census for District 5, Henderson County, Tennessee, shows Alice Bedwell, age 48, a widow who has had seven children with seven still living, residing with her family in the Henderson County Alms House: Hailey, female, age 25; Flora, age 15; Earnest, age 10; and Sallie Mae, age 4. All are listed as born in Tennessee from parents born in Tennessee except Sallie Mae, who was born in Tennessee but whose father is listed as born in "unknown"; this indicates that Isaac Bedwell might not have been her father. Earnest is listed as able to read and write, the others as not able to. Flora and Earnest are working as laborers on the "poor farm."

1920 Census for District 5, Henderson County, Tennessee, shows an Alice Bidwell, age 6, living with a family named Roberts. Her relation to the Roberts is listed as "kept as family." Unknown who her parents are (could she be the child of one of Isaac and Alice's daughters?).

• Not sure where these people tie in, but they are may be descendants of Isaac Bedwell: Central Grove Cemetary. This cemetery is located at Central Grove Missionary Baptist Church about three miles north of Chesterfield. Recorded February 11, 1991 and updated April 19, 2001. An earlier recording of this cemetery was made by Joyce and Jeff Reeves circa 1974. Their record appears in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976), Vol. II, pp. 276-280. This earlier work is referred to as "Reeves" in the notes below.

Petterson near Lexington. He is single, of medium height and build, with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He signed the card with an X.

• 1920 Census for District 5, Henderson County, Tennessee, shows Cleav Bedwell, age 26, single, living with the family of Henry Wheatley. He is apparently working as a farm laborer for the Wheatleys.
