Third Generation

19. Martha Parnell was born about 1720.

• From Dave Seaney in an email dated 2/18/04: "The statement in Owen's Will stating that Mary had 'intermarried Elijah Bedwell' lead me for many years to believe that Mary had married into her mother's family which meant the Bedwells. But I discovered in a Will that her (mother Martha, wife of Owen Seaney) maiden name was Parnal/Parnell. Her parents were Edward and Elizabeth (Bedwell) Parnal. Elizabeth's father turned out to be Robert Bedwell. Elizabeth appears to have married Parnal after her marriages to Turner and Swan. She was also given a tract named 'Elizabeth's Chance' by her brother Thomas as a wedding gift. One of Owen's first land purchases was a piece of 'Parnal's Land' just south of 'Wedmore' owned by James Bedwell."

Owen Seaney was born about 1720 in probably Wales.

The will of Owen Seenea made 16 October 1771 named daughter, Mary, wife of Elijah Bedwell. (Kent County, Delaware Wills, Liber N, Folio 84-85).
