Brewer, age 57, a farmer who owns $700 real estate, as head of household with:
Susan, age 52; Lucinda, age 19; Jane, age 17 (or 12?); and James, age 6. (Note:
they are incorrectly shown as "Brower" in ancestry.com index, but census
page clearly says "Brewer".)
• 1860 Census for McMinn County, Tennessee shows Susan Brewer, age 60, a
farmer with $500 real estate and $200 assets, as head of household with Jane,
age 22, and James, age 16. Susan was born in Virginia and is unable to read
or write; the children were born in Tennessee and are shown as literate but had
not attended school within the year.
• 1870 Census for McMinn County, Tennessee, shows James Brewer, age 26,
a farmer who owns $600 real estate and $310 assets, as head of household with:
Ann, age 20; Eliza A., age 1; and Susan, age 72.
Susannah Bedwell and Lewis Brewer were married on 9 Mar 1820 in Grayson County,
Virginia.118,124 Lewis Brewer118 (son of Mastin Lewis Brewer and Agatha Holland) was
born on 12 Oct 1795 in Grayson County, Virginia.118 He died between 1850 and 1860 in McMinn County, Tennessee.
