• The 1850 Census for Haddon Township, Sullivan County, Indiana shows Delia Holston, age 60, born in Kentucky, who owns $200 real estate, as head of household with: Francis B., male, age 16; and Delila, age 12. They live next door to William Holston, age 33.

• 1860 Census for Jefferson Township, Sullivan County, Indiana shows James Holston, age 41, a farmer born in Kentucky who owns $1400 in real estate and $300 in assets, as head of household including:Angeline, age 36; Harriet, age 14; Joseph B., age 13; Nancy Holston, age 10; Steven Holston, age 7; and Delilah Holston, age 72, born in Kentucky. Everyone else was born in Indiana.
