My great great great grandfather William Oglesby 1786 was born we believe in NC from there he moved to Tennessee first to Bedford county and then to Hardin county. records and other research shows he left Bedford 1835 and moved to Hardin county where he stayed until 1849 he relocated to OUachita county in Arkansas with many in his family and also with some relatives of his wife Margaret Gammill. His wifes mothers maiden name was Bedwell her sister FAMALA married Archibald Oglesby. I find William and an Archibald enlisted in Burks County NC. I am trying to find the father of William. The children of Margaret and William, James, Elizabeth, David. Lovenia Bedwell. Porter, Archibald, Samual, William Calvin. In Ouachita county goodspeed on Porter it says William was the father of 18. I am wondering since these show 1823 bd. and 1822 marriage to Margaret if he had another family. Puzzled if anyone can shed any light on this please let me know. Also in census for Bedford county 1830 it is all spelled Ogilvie...bit Gammill and Bedwell are all mentioned in the census.
