Naomi Maxine Lewis 1923-2001
LARNED - Naomi Maxine Lewis, 78, died March 10 at Central Kansas Medical Center, St. Joseph Campus in Larned. She was born Jan. 30, 1923, in Plainville, the daughter of Frank and Pearl McCune Bedwell. She married Lloyd G. Lewis July 21, 1939, in Bisbee, Ariz. A resident of Larned since 1943, she was a retired mental health technician. Mrs. Lewis was a member of First United Methodist Church in Larned and Eastern Star of Great Bend. Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Gerald Lewis and Richard L. Lewis, both of Larned, and Steven Lewis of Roeland Park; one brother, Roy Bedwell of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by one brother, Morgan Bedwell; four sisters, Marie Reeves, Velma Cowart, Henretta Sanders and Marietta Bedwell. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Larned Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Grant officiating.
