consisting of: Susan, 24; M.J., female, 7; J.F., male, 5; Adaline, 3; Caladonia,
1; and L.J. (or S.J.), 21, female.
• 1880 Census for Precinct 90, Pulaski County, Illinois shows Susan Bedwell,
43, shown as divorced, living with her children: son John, 24, a farmer who cannot
read or write; daughter Cale, 21; son Thomas, 17, a laborer who cannot read or
write; daughter Manerva, 13; and son George, 5.
Soon after 1880, Susan moved to Texas with most of her children. Leroy Bedwell
and Susan Ferris were married about 1850 in Tennessee.6 Susan Ferris97,317 (daughter
of Hezekiah Ferris and Mary [--?--]) was born in 1835 in Tennessee.97,99 She died
on 7 Jun 1908 in Hunt County, Texas.6
