4725. Allen Dale Roberts was born on 6 Oct 1904 in Neosho Township, Morris County, Kansas. He died on 14 Apr 1937 in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas. He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas.

Farmer, auto mechanic, car salesman, oilfield worker (roughneck). Gave up farming during the depression and drought of the mid-1930s. At one time he bought wild horses and "broke" and then sold them. He was assisted in this effort by two of his nephews, Kenneth and Gerald Roberts, who later became world champion rodeo riders. After leaving the farm, he tried selling cars but there was not enough business to support his family. He also bought old cars, repaired and then sold them. He was killed while working as a roughneck in an oilfield on Wednesday, April 14, 1937.

Allen Dale Roberts and Pearl Ina Chitty were married on 10 Feb 1923 in Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas. Pearl Ina Chitty was born on 5 Dec 1902 in Alta Vista, Wabaunsee County, Kansas. She died on 1 Nov 1997 in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas. She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas.
