J.B. Harrell, 44, a farmer born in Mississippi from parents born in Alabama,
as head of household containing: wife L.A., 33; daughter Lula, 10; son J. Whit,
3 (or 5?); and brother A.G., 35.
AND, 1880 Census for 106th District, McLennan County, Texas, page 96a, written
in a different hand, shows John Harrell, 44, a farmer born in Mississippi, as
head of household containing: wife Annie, 32; daughter Lula, 10; son Whitley,
4; and brother Alfred, 33. On the same page is:
John Bedwell, 29, a farmer born in Mississippi; his wife Bell, 25, born in Mississippi;
their children Olivia, 2, and Alfred, 1, both born in Texas; and mother Sarah
Bedwell, 47, born in Mississippi. This must be Johnathan Monroe Bedwell, son
of William Dawson Bedwell and Sarah Johnson. Annie Davis
was born about 1847 in Mississippi. John Bedwell Harrell and Annie
Davis had the following children:
