• This family was listed twice in the 1880 census, by two different census takers:

1880 Census for Stoney Creek, Henry County, Indiana (Roll: T9_284; Family History Film: 1254284; Page: 2D; Enumeration District: 1; Image: 0007) shows J.D. Brewington, age 53, a carpenter, as head of household containing: wife Kitturah, age 47; daughter Flora A., age 24, a milliner; E.J. Merrit (unclear whether the surname Brewington is supposed to be attached after Merrit), age 18, whose occupation is listed as "Huckster"; Jaine W. Moore, age 55, male, whose relation to the family and occupation is slightly unclear but looks like "Hustler" in both cases; John W. Davis, age 38, a boarder whose occupation is listed as boarder; and Dora E. Laub, age 14, a servant. I'm not at all sure what to make of this listing... THEN, they are listed AGAIN some pages later like this:

1880 Census for Stoney Creek, Henry County, Indiana (Roll: T9_284; Family History Film: 1254284; Page: 10C; Enumeration District: 1; Image: 0022) shows J.D. Based on his age and the listing under occupation, it sounds like Mr. Brewington may have been a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.
