Note: During 1900 census, he said he was born in Feb 1849. However, the 1850 census shows him as two years old, so my best guess is that he was actually born in Feb 1848. He died on 13 Mar 1901 in Indiana.⁶⁵ He was buried in Pleasantdale Cemetery, Blackford County, Indiana.⁶⁵

• 1870 Census for Harrison, Blackford County, Indiana, taken in July 1870, shows Jonathan Bedwell, age 22, a farmer who owns no real estate and $218 of personal property, as head of household: Missouri, age 21, female; and Lillie Belle, age 1. All were born in Indiana. They are living next door to James Bedwell, Jonathan's father.

• 1880 Census for Harrison, Blackford County, Indiana, taken in June 1880, shows Jonathan Bedwell, age 32, a farmer, as head of household with: wife A. Missouri, age 31; daughter L. Elizabeth, age 8; daughter M. Jennie, age 5; son L. James, age 2; and mother-in-law Betsey Dragoo, age 76, who was born in Kentucky (everyone else was born in Indiana). They are living next door to a Sarah Bedwell, age 49, who has an Elizabeth Patterson, age 12, a servant, living with her.

• 1900 Census for Harrison, Blackford County, Indiana, shows Jonathan Bedwell, born Feb 1849, a farmer, living with Nancy, born May 1850, his wife of four years who has had no children. They are the only members of the household.
