From the Huntington Herald Press Online, March 16, 2001:

"Mary E. Roberts, 89, Marion, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday (March 16, 2001) at the Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion. Mrs. Roberts had been a resident of Montpelier until moving to Marion in 1976. She was the owner and operator of Roberts Flower Shop in Montpelier for 25 years and had attended the Montpelier Nazarene Church before moving to Marion where she began attending the Holiness Bible Church. She was born Oct. 12, 1911, in Blackford County to Charles A. and Olive Blount Bedwell. She attended Goodboo School in Harrison Township, Blackford County. Her first marriage was to Ralph W. Coffield, who died in 1961. Her second marriage was to Ralph Roberts. He died in 1988. Survivors include five sons, Robert G. Coffield, Hartford City, Raymond D. Coffield, Tabb, Va., Max F. Coffield, Jonesboro, and Ralph J. Coffield and John Roberts, both of Huntington; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Mary K.) Strine, Hartford City; a brother, Charles Bedwell, Montpelier; three sisters, Helen Sharp, Montpelier, Geraldine Carnes, Largo, Fla., and Mildred Smith, Lafayette; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Treva Maddox; and three brothers, Richard Bedwell, Delmar Bedwell and Carl Bedwell. Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Rev. Frank Rodgers will officiate. Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate Dept. 77-3968, Chicago, IL 60678."

Ralph W. Coffield²⁰⁹⁰ died in 1961 in Indiana.²⁰⁹⁰ Mary E. Bedwell and Ralph W. Coffield had the following children:
