Martha L. Bedwell, 83
Funeral services for Martha L. Bedwell, 83, of Montpelier will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday at Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, Montpelier. Visitation hours
at the chapel will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Bedwell died at 3:10 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 6, at the United Methodist Memorial Home at Warren. She formerly
worked at Montpelier Glove & Safety and retired in 1968 from 3M Company in
Hartford City. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Montpelier,
a charter member of Gamma Nu Sorority and a member of American Legion Post 156
Auxiliary. She had attended Montpelier High School. She was born at Montpelier
June 8, 1919, a daughter of Ernest and Justine Marie McGeath Griffith. Her marriage
to Charles Bedwell, who survives, took place in Montpelier on Aug. 28. 1959.
Surviving also are a stepson, Rollin L. Bedwell of New Albany, a grandson and
two great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Raymond Stroud, died in 1947 and
her second husband, Joseph OHern, died in 1954. Two brothers and a grandson
are deceased also. Rev. Jack Littlefield will officiate at services and burial
will be in IOOF Cemetery at Montpelier. Memorials to Montpelier Church of the
Nazarene or to the donors choice. |
