***Funeral Review Appearing in Porterville Evening Recorder dated 8/31/1942:

"FUNERAL FOR WYMORE HELD HERE MONDAY

Funeral services were held this morning, at the First Christian Church, for Roy H. Wymore, 60, who died at midnight Thursday night at his home on Villa Street, following a long period of ill health. The rites were largely attended, as the deceased had a wide acquaintance in Tulare County, and particularly in the eastern part of the county.

Rev. Harold V. Reeves, pastor of the church, delivered the eulogy, and Tom Smith and his daughter, Miss Jacqueline, sang. The chancel of the church was banked with beautiful flowers, showing the esteem in which the deceased was held by his many friends. The casket carriers were Robert L. Cogburn, James Arnold, Leo Pohlman, all of Porterville; Oscar L. Hemphill of Visalia; and two deputy agricultural inspectors of Exeter.

Many automobiles followed the funeral cortege to the grave in the old Porterville Cemetery, where the Masonic Lodge, of which Mr. Wymore had long been a member, performed the last rites of the lodge in an impressive ceremony.

A native of Missouri, Mr. Wymore had been a resident here for forty years. He had been a deputy agricultural inspector for more than twenty years, in charge of standardization, and in this position had become well known to the ranches and packing plants of the district. For many years, he had been of great assistance in aiding in the collection of truit for the Porterville exhibit at the Tulare-Kings County Fair. His friends were legion, and his jovial disposition had won him many close intimates. He was a member of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges and was on the board of the First Christian Church.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Maude Wymore; a daughter, Mrs. James Rutledge; a sister Mrs. C.P. Bradley; and a brother, Don Wymore. Three grandchildren, two sons and a daughter, children of Mr. and Mrs. Rutledge, also survive."
