California, resident of Porterville 50 years and of Sonora seven years. Mother
of Reynold and Terry Rutledge and Lou Ann Harp; grandmother of five. Services
will be held at 2 p.m.. Wednesday, Dec. 13 in the Loyd Chapel. Internment will
be in Chapel of the Light, Fresno."

"MYRTA RUTLEDGE
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Loyd Chapel for Myrta B. Rutledge,
69, who died Monday morning in Sonora. Internment will be in the Chapel of the
Light, Fresno.
A native of California, Mrs. Rutledge lived in Porterville for 50 years. She
was a resident of Sonora for the past seven years.
Survivors include two sons; Reynold of Porterville, and Terry of Sonora; one
daughter, Lou Ann Harp of Porterville, and five grandchildren." Myrtea

OBITUARY NOTICE APPEARING IN PORTERVILLE RECORDER 3/30/1970:
"J.E. RUTLEDGE DIED AFTER LONG ILLNESS. A retired Tulare County agriculture
inspector, Jim E. Rutledge, 60, died Sunday in Sierra View District Hospital
following a long illness. Mr. Rutledge was born Feb. 18, 1910 in Ned, Texas,
and came to Porterville 50 years ago. His home was at 283 North Villa. He was
an agriculture inspector for Tulare County for 30 years. Survivors include his
widow Myrtea Rutledge; two sons, Clayton Reynold Rutledge of Porterville, music
instructor for the Porterville Public and Woodville and Strathmore elementary
schools, and S/Sgt. Terry D. Rutledge, stationed at Homestead, FL.; one daughter,
Mrs. Lou Harp of Porterville; three brothers, Walter of Porterville, Beebe of
Hanford and Harvey Rutledge of Hanford; two daughters, Mrs. Lina Riley of Palo
Alto and Mrs. Maggie Schumacher of Curvilla, Texas and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 p.m. Wednesday April 1, in the Loyd Chapel
with Buford Holt minister of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be
in the old Porterville Cemetery." Myrtea Berlin Wymore and Jim Epps Rutledge
