"EMILIO T. NAVA
PORTERVILLE - Visitation for Emilio "Pelon" Thomas Nava, 52, or Porterville,
will be held from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel in Porterville. Mr. Nava
died in Fairfield on Friday. Born in Porterville, Mr. Nava was a lifelong resident
of this community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves (1965-69). Mr.
Nava attended St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was a emeber of the Knights of
Columbus and C.A.F.E. He was an avid fisherman, gun collector, golfer and Harley
Davidson enthusiast. He rebuilt Harleys as a hobbie. Mr. Nava was employed for
30 years as a senior psychiatric technician by the Porterville Developmental
Center. Surviving Mr. Nava are two sons, Jason Nava of Tehachiapi and Cody Alto
of Porterville; a daughter, Angela Nava of Woodside; three sisters, Anna Severino
of New York, Frances Nava of Visalia, and Jessica Bonilla of Porterville; one
grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins." Living
