"Mrs. Baker, 71, of Conesville, Passes Away at Her Home
Columbus Junction, Ia., Feb 18. -- Funeral services for Mrs. William Baker of
Conesville, whose death occurred yesterday afternoon at her home after an illness
of more than a year, will be held Friday afternoon in the Methodist church at
Conesville. ... Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery. Mrs. Baker, who was
formerly Miss Mary Elizabeth Bedwell, was born in Muscatine county, Aug. 10,
1854 and was married to William Baker, Dec. 23, 1880, and the home was in Pike
township until 1907 when the family moved to Conesville. Surviving are the widower,
a daughter Mrs. George Hontz of Muscatine, and a son, John, of Des Moines." Mary
