Ora Foden Bedwell, 91, of Greenbrier, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at NorthCrest
Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 6 in the chapel
of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Jack Evans and Bro.
Eldridge Dorris officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bedwell was born March 19, 1912, in Robertson County to the late Willie West
and Millie Frances Johnson Bedwell. He was retired from Cumberland Electric Service
and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Essie Marie
Ellis Bedwell.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Margery Bedwell and
Russell (Kitty) and Lillian Bedwell all of Greenbrier; granddaughters, Nancy
Mellinger, Jenny Sloan; and great-granddaughter, Christina Lowery. Ora Foden
Bedwell and Essie Marie Ellis were married. Essie
Marie Ellis died before 4 Jan 2004.1998
