Will of Vestal Beeson
Blount County, Alabama, Volume 245

In the name of God Amen. I Vestal Beeson being of sound mind and remembering the frailty of all flesh and my own particular mortality constitu(t)e and ordain this my last will and testament as follows, viz.

First, I bequeath to my bloved Wife Susannah the use and benefit of all my property both persoanl and Real after my decease during her widowhood or in case...she...she does not marry during her natural life (except) three female Negro slaves which I have heretofore conveyed by deed of gift to my sons William Beeson, Vestal Beeson Jr. and Clayton Green Beeson, one to each. Secondly, after the death of my wife susanah or in case after death she marries at such time as she so marries I will that my Daughter Salina Pearson have the sum of five Dollars, that all the rest of my said estate both Real and personal be equally divided between my other children to/wit Locke Beeson, Henderson Beeson, Calvin J. Beeson, Milton Beeson, William Beeson, Vestal Beeson and Clayton G. Beeson.

Thirdly, this my desire that my Son(s) Lock Beeson and Calvin J. Beeson be and they are hereby constitute my executors to carry into effect this my will and testament I(n) Testamony I have hereunto affixed my seal and subscribed my name this 23rd Day August 1838...
