Levinus DAEMS, son of Michael and Catherine (Van
de Boos) Daems; born at Antwerp, Belgium, November 22d,
1820. Came to the United States. Place of departure for Montana, Denver,
Colorado; route traveled, across the plains via Fort Laramie; arrived at Bannack
in 1863. profession, physician and surgeon. Last address, Virginia City. Member
House of Representatives, Second Session, 1866; Council, Sixth Session, 1869-70,
Territorial Legislative Assembly. Died, December 9th, 1874.
Mrs. L. DAEMS, nee Marie Louis VALTZIN, daughter of
John P. and Susan (Carie) Valtzin; born at Arlon,
Luxemburg, Belgium, April 4th, 1836. Place of departure for Montana,
Denver, Colorado; route traveled, across the plains via Platte River; arrived at
Virginia City, May 1st, 1864. Residence, Virginia City.
