Belleville is a very small hamlet in the town of Ellisburg near the shores of Lake Ontario in New York state.
Most of the long time residents of the area are related to one another
in some way or another...although they will surely deny it.
Local families have strong connections to Vermont, Canada and to the Mohawk Valley area
of New York State and the family trees are deeply intertwined.
